It’s here.  The iPhone 3G S, the latest smartphone to carry the Apple crown, has arrived, and while the queues outside stores may not be quite as impressive as last year, that doesn’t mean the handset itself disappoints.  We joined Apple at their flagship store in New York City this morning to pick up the new iPhone 3G S; read on for some of our first-impressions.

A few days ago several sites reported that Hotmail on the iPhone was now available in the US (and some other countries too). According to the stats, about 70% of users posting comments report that it works fine for them, and they can access their Hotmail on their iPhone.


Juice Pack Air: world's thinnest iPhone 3G battery / case from Mophie

Accessory maker Mophie has announced the Juice Pack Air, a revised version of its earlier battery pack for the iPhone 3G. Both Juice Packs latch onto the back of an iPhone, supplying extra power without dangling any cords or protrusions off of the dock connector. The batteries extend operational time by several hours, eliminating the need to recharge as frequently or avoid using functions to conserve energy.

Luckily, before losing the phone, Dino's dad set up a rule where any email sent from the phone blind-cc'ed his personal email address.
